SELF EVALUATIONS:
Spanish 3
End of 1st 9 Weeks:
We recently took a test which I didn't do too bad on. So far I have done pretty well on the tests. We have been reviewing a lot of material, but also learning a lot. I still get confused with the endings and grammar. I am improving my vocabulary and am learning new words. My speaking is improving and I am volunteering more in class.
End of 2nd 9 Weeks:
For the end of the semester we have been learning about famous Hispanic artists. It's been interesting seeing all their beautiful works. We read part of Bridge to Terabithia, and summarized the remaining chapters. It was a struggle, however we managed. This nine weeks we learned the subjunctive, talked about food, learned se + indirect object pronoun, described fairy tales, talked about hopes and wishes, and much more! I learn best by having projects, which I really enjoy. Worksheets done in class really help me as well. I am learning to improve my Spanish and become more comfortable with the language. I am satisfied with my progress, however I still am not confident in my abilities. However I feel like I will only truly feel comfortable with my skills if I submerge myself with the language and speak with my family more.

Spanish 2
End of 1st 9 Weeks:
We just took our midterm, and I understood almost all of the material covered in the test. Recently we have learned about present progressive and preterite tense. We have reviewed Ser and Estar many times, however I still get them confused often.
I learn best by doing activities covering what we just learned. When we get a worksheet I benefit most.
I am learning to improve my speaking, and to be able to expand on my conversations. Right now I am able to answer and ask basic questions with ease, however ultimately I wish to be able to go into specifics.
I am still not confident with my abilities, or comfortable speaking. One of my biggest insecurities is the accent. I know how things should sounds, but when I attempt it, to me, I sound silly. However I have learned a lot, and am able to understand much more than when the semester first began.
End of 2nd 9 Weeks.
We just took our chapter seven test, which I did much better on than my chapter six test. I reviewed my chapter six test and I unfortunately had made many simple mistakes. I feel very comfortable with the vocabulary so far. We are now distinguishing between when to use the preterite and imperfect. Thankfully it is becoming much more clear to me because I had trouble with it at first. The preterite tense is still a little odd to me, however I have imperfect down for the most part. I learn by reviewing my notes. I have the most trouble with conjugating, however worksheets help me a lot. We have not done many speaking activities, however that it is ok to me because I'm not the biggest fan of speaking, but understand a lot. My grammar skills got much better this semester. We are able to get much more specific, which is nice. I also really enjoyed chapter sever. I thought it was cool to be able to describe our childhood.

Spanish 1
1. I learn best in Spanish class by reviewing the vocab with the activities we do.
2. My strengths in Spanish are the vocab. I'm also very good at the listening actives because my mother always speaks Spanish to me.
3. My weaknesses are the grammar. Another weakness of mine is just assuming the ending of a word instead of double checking. I also often forget to use accents.i understand how important they are, I just never thing about them.
4. I'm most proud that I am more comftorable speaking Spanish. Whever my mom talks to me I always respond in English. I used to be a lot more embarrassed and uncomfortable speaking it.
5. I'm going to have to study a lot more. I didn't have to study too much for this class, however since Spanish 2 is a lot more grammar I'm going to need to study more often.
6. I plan on taking Spanish AP. It would make my mother very happy, and I understand that Spanish is a very important language to speak in the US. I also enjoy Spanish. I think its a fun class that isn't so serious.
